Hama “Smooth" Monostand, 155 Click, with Three-Arm Base

Make three from one: A monopod is a shaky affair, especially with heavy telephoto lenses. That is why our monopod has a three-arm base - it gives the design more stability without having to do without the flexibility of a monopod.

  • Air lock system: stepless adjustment without screw clamps - for more speed when hunting for the perfect shot
  • A cleverly attached joint at the end of the tripod ensures gentle and smooth movements and pivoting, with the joint allowing tilts of up to 20° in all directions

"Smooth" monopod: monopod on three legs

Photography with a monopod is undergoing a revolution! It can be tricky to get completely blur-free photos using a monopod, due to the lack of stability. We make it easy for you and improve picture quality: Our "Smooth" monopod comes with a small, removable tripod. Thanks to this folding base, the camera monopod stands stably on the ground – without limiting the flexibility that a monopod offers.

Flexible and fast – simply "Smooth"

Are you afraid that a monopod with a base will take too long to set up, and that by the time you’re ready, the Bengal tiger will have disappeared into the Indian bush? Our "Smooth" monopod has been designed with a focus on smoothness: Flexibility and speed in monopod photography are retained, and added to this is increased stability for improved picture quality. The three leg segments are continuously and individually adjustable using an air-lock system, and this can be done in a matter of seconds: Simply fold out the base until the legs lock into place.

A conventional monopod has to be turned in the desired direction: This is awkward and you often lose the exact subject position in the process. A monopod can be difficult to handle, particularly when shooting with a heavy telephoto lens. With the stable base, your movements become a lot easier, faster, more flexible and precise.

The joint at the end of the monopod allows you to get even smoother pans and moves, and tilt your camera up to 20 degrees in all directions. So you’re all set for the tiger to appear – also in a 360-degree panorama picture! Hotels and agents benefit from the possibility to take lifelike spatial shots.

Chasing the perfect subject in all weathers

If you want to be fast and agile, a light load is a must. The aluminium monopod is sturdy and, weighing just 900 grammes, is ultralight. Its small pack size makes it ideal for taking to faraway countries to chase after subjects.

If you are a professional photographer, you will have at least two cameras with you. The two quick-release plates support you in matters of flexibility and speed. Depending on your preferences and the subject, you will have your other camera mounted in no time at all.

The tripod feet are made from weatherproof metal and, thanks to rubber pads, stay put even on slippery ground. The foam sleeve on the monopod makes taking photos more comfortable for you, particularly when it’s cold in snow and rain – for it could be a snow leopard rather than a tiger that runs in front of the lens – and the snow leopard is known to be elusive, even when there is snowfall.
