In order to safeguard our staff and customers in-line with emerging health guidelines on social distancing, all Hama UK staff will be working from home as of Monday 23^rd March until further notice. However, our warehouse remains operational and we will still be processing orders and picking up incoming calls and emails as usual, so as to minimise any disruption to our customers.

Looking After our Customers and Staff

Dear Customer,

As Coronavirus cases continue to escalate throughout Europe and measures are taken in attempt to try and slow the spread of the virus, we understand that it has become an increasing source of concern for many of our customers in terms of both economic and social impact on their business.

In these turbulent times, we feel it is important to reassure our customers that Hama UK are making every effort to mitigate any risks posed to our trade partners, customers, employees and all those in contact with us.

Firstly, we will continue to ensure that we remain up to speed with the very latest information and guidance from UK government and health bodies, in addition to monitoring daily developments across Europe and the globe. Where needed, we will use this information to adjust company policy as and when required to further safeguard the wellbeing of those relying on us. In the event of such changes, we will endeavor to inform all affected customers at the earliest opportunity in order to minimalise any impact on business.

Until further notice we will be implementing a two-team rotational staffing plan at the Hama UK head offices in Basingstoke. This will involve mixed teams, with one team office-based and the other home-based at any one time in order to help prevent the spread of infection. We take the health of our staff extremely seriously, and anyone feeling unwell will have the flexibility to work from home. Please bear with us as we aim to reply promptly to any queries and continue to offer all our services with minimal disruption.

Something that Hama UK has always prided ourselves on is our approach to customer service, and up until now, this has included regular in-store visits to assess and tailor solutions that meet our customers’ needs. However, in light of recent ‘social distancing’ guidelines from the UK government, we have had to take the difficult decision to suspend all unessential face-to-face meetings for the foreseeable future. Despite this, we can reassure customers that we continue to make efforts to maintain communication through other means such a video and telephone conferencing in addition to email and social media channels, which also both remain open.

As part of Europe’s largest accessory company, we will continue to work together with our group headquarters in Monheim, Germany, and other Hama subsidiaries across the continent in order to maintain sufficient stock to meet customer demands, offered at a consistently competitive price.

Once again, we thank you for your continued custom. Though the full impact of the virus remains largely unpredictable, Hama UK are dedicated to providing a safe and stable trading platform for both retailers and employees alike, ensuring that all our businesses can continue to run as near to normal as possible. We would like to take this opportunity to remind customers that our webshop and online ordering system will remain fully operational and all users will be free to search, browse, compare, make enquiries and place orders across our full assortment as usual.
