The three speed levels

We have chargers available in three different speeds. The main criterion differentiating the three speeds is the charging speed. Depending on the type of plug or socket, various technologies and amperages can be used to get optimal charging results.

  • So in order to determine the perfect charger for you, you just need to know what connector your device has, what type of charger you want, and what charging speed you prefer.

Overview of the four types

  • Lightning

    Lightning is a proprietary interface from Apple that was developed in 2012 to allow thinner designs of smartphones and other electronic devices.

  • Wireless Charging

    Wireless charging just by setting it down

    These charging devices transmit power via induction. Electrical coils installed in both the terminal device and the charging cradle allow the power to be transmitted directly to the battery. Just place the device to be charged onto the top surface. The battery will be charged in no time. This charging technology spares the electrical contacts of the mobile terminal device and does away with cable spaghetti.

  • USB Type-C

    THE NEW STANDARD FOR ALL DEVICES

    USB Type-C is the new standardised format for plug connectors, cables and plug sockets developed by the USB Implementers Forum. This cooperation between leading technology companies like Apple, Intel and Dell aimed to develop a uniform technology for supplying power, transferring data, and displaying video, all over one and the same connection. The result is the plug and socket type USB Type-C, whose point-symmetric design allows it to be used either side up.

    USB Type-C has a bright future ahead of it due to the many benefits it brings: faster data transfers, shorter charging times and a plug that can be used either side up. More and more devices are coming equipped with the new USB Type-C port. In the long term, it is to replace the familiar USB and Micro-USB interfaces and be installed in chargers, TVs, sound adapters, smartphones, PCs, laptops, and many other devices.

In a nutshell: What is Quick Charge?

Quick Charge is the fast charging technology of the manufacturer Qualcomm. Quick Charge technology delivers faster charging speeds than conventional chargers by means of higher voltage.

For quadruple-speed charging! Our fastest quality level, Turbo Fast Charge, is powered by Quick ChargeTM technology by Qualcomm®. Quick Charge 3.0 guarantees extremely fast charging, up to four times faster than with conventional charging technologies. Use one of the newest, fastest, and most efficient USB charging technologies ever invented.

Quick Charge 4+

Even faster and more efficient than Quick Charge 4.0

Qualcomm has improved its new fast charging technology for smartphones. The new version is called: Quick Charge 4+. Compared with Quick Charge 4.0, the new version charges even faster.

Quick Charge 4+ has three benefits: Devices do not heat up so much during charging; the charging process is up to 15 per cent faster and up to 30 per cent more efficient than with Quick Charge 4.0. This means: With Quick Charge 4+, it takes only 5 minutes to charge the battery of a smartphone to run for about 6 hours!

Quick Charge 4+ contains three main enhancements over the earlier version:

  • Dual Charge: Here, a second charging chip must be built into the terminal device. The charging current is then split between two paths, which is meant to increase charging speed and reduce heat generation. While this feature already existed with Quick Charge 4.0, it has reportedly been significantly improved.
  • Intelligent Thermal Balancing: This technology is based on Dual Charging, and involves moving current to the cooler of the two paths automatically.
  • Advanced Safety Features: Further monitoring of the smartphone’s temperature should result in early detection of overheating, and thereby ensure higher safety.

What is Power Delivery?

Power delivery, or USB PD, is a charging technology.

PD works only with USB Type-C cables and connectors. This charging technology allows even faster charging and delivers more power to large devices such as laptops.

What is Qi charging?

The word Qi comes from Chinese and means “life energy”.
Here it refers to energy transfer by induction. Qi is a standard that allows many different smartphones to be charged using that same induction charging device.

The big advantage of charging by induction is that a smartphone can be charged without any annoying cables being involved.
